1815 Coalport Kakiemon Porcelain Bowl Quail Millet

This bowl dates to 1815, and is pictured in the book, "The Two Quail Pattern, 300 Years of Design on Porcelain," by Dr. Chris Girton.

Lovely milky white glaze Bowl, hand-enameled with stylized millet, quail, chrysanthemums, and a rock outcrop. Enamels in iron-red, blue, aubergene, yellow, green, and accented with gilt. Glazed Ring Base.

Measures about 6" diameter, 1-1/4" tall.

Very good condition with a few very small scratches to the inside well, some minor pattern loss (in the white space about 8 o'clock mark) and gilt wear, primarily to the rim.
