Silver Argus Pheasants with Real Turquoise Eyes Vintage

Striking pair of Silver Plated Argus Pheasants, crested male, and female, both with genuine turquoise eyes. We point out that the Argus pheasant in reality has turquoise colored neck feathers, making the artisan's choice of stone color most appropriate. They each measure about 14.50" long, 8" tall, 2" wide. Made by the W. B. Manufacturing Company, and so impressed on the underside of the tail of each pheasant, within a shield, for the Weidlich Brothers of Bridgeport, Connecticut, mid-century. There is some age wear, including scattered areas of worn plating, and the occasional tiny abrasion, particularly on their necks. Not perfect, but not priced as perfect either. This is an absolutely lovely and quite unusual pair of pheasants for decorative display. We're sure you will be pleased with this elegant, feathered couple. $18 US Shipping.
