Pair 18th-19th Century Porcelain Miniature Vases

CONDITION: very good, with only oxidation (primarily darkening) to the stands; one vase slightly loose on stand, easily corrected if desired.

Charming PAIR of MINIATURE VASES, handpainted, partially in raised enamel, on ORMOLU METAL STANDS. Ground is marbelized polychrome, with two areas of floral designs, painted in opposing directions; that is, the pieces are mirror images of each other, indicating they are and were originally intended as a pair. Both are unsigned.

The vases are very similar to the porcelain inserts for a pair of candlesticks which we have listed, of the same time period, and also family treasures from the same estate. Please see by placing "candlesticks" in our search box.

The Vases measure about 4" tall, 1-1/8" rim diameter, 1-1/2" base diameter.

Circa 1775-1825, possibly German.

$14 US Shipping.
