46 pieces of England's Scarce Royal Winton, Grimwades, "Tiger Lily," Service for six, plus Serving Pieces. SIX, 6-PIECE PLACE SETTINGS, each setting consisting of: SERVING PIECES: Several names are used to describe the ground color -- Ecru, Honey, Pale Yellow, Ivory, Cream, all of which convey it well. The innermost decoration is a .25" (.63 cm) band of pink, followed by a band of mint green, followed by brilliant gold edge gilding; cup foot is also edged in gold. The cream soups are all-over mint green with wider edge gilding; the marks for the soup bowls also contains the large "A" on the perimeter circle. Each footed cup has a beautiful handpainted handle which is a long-stemmed Tiger Lily. CONDITION: All 36 pieces in the six place settings, have age-confirming crazing, and are in near-new condition with amazingly few signs of wear, and very little loss of gilding. Of the serving pieces, all have crazing, one salt has a chip to the base, the largest bowl is yellowed (correctible) and has 2 flakes on the underside of the base; the medium footed bowl has restoration to one of the handles. c.
