Superior Silver Co 19th C Quadruple Plate Tea Service
19th Century, Five-piece Tea Service by "Superior Silver Company," "Quadruple," a mark of the Middleton Plate Company, from 1864-1899. Set includes the teapot, creamer, sugar with lid, and waste bowl. Teapot is about 9" tall, 8" handle-to-spout, and 4.50" diameter at the rim; sugar is about 6" tall, 7" handle-to-handle, and 4" diameter at the rim; creamer is about 4" tall, 5.50" handle-to-spout, and 3" diameter at the rim; waste bowl is about 4" tall, 6.25" handle-to-handle, 3" diameter at the rim. We have included detailed photos of the many features including the beaded rims, ornate handles and spouts, feet on each piece. With the exception of a few very small dents in most of the pieces (the majority in the teapot), and one, one-inch surface scratch on the sugar bowl, the set is in lovely condition. There appears to be no worn plating, and the set literally glistens. The small dents are a minor issue which can quickly and easily be corrected by a professional if desired; set is bargain-priced accordingly. c. 1864-1899. $25 US Shipping.
