| This short Chinese womans silk jacket has some of the finest embroidery I have seen on any Chinese textile. Heavy use of tiny peking knots, aka mythical forbidden stitch, on the body of the garment along with gold thread couching, silk thread satin stitch, and enameled buttons...all wonderful. Unfortunately, the original sleeve panels were removed and the jacket was relined with a synthetic fabric...the relining was done in China before I bought it, but this is such an exceptional garment that I could not resist, especially after I put it on... Garment is very wearable | ||||||||
