Bob and Stewart, owners of EthnosAsia, have traveled in Asia for decades and have been collecting Asian art and textiles just as long. We encourage and support the survival and continuation of local textile arts by buying as much as possible directly from the weavers and artisans that we seek out in our travels through Asia. We offer weavings and embroideries from China, Japan, Laos, Central Asia, Cambodia, and Indonesia.
Textiles in Asia
Asia offers a broad range of textile styles and techniques that are beautiful and unique, from tie-dyed ikats, to meticulously sewn embroideries and appliques, for decorating the body or the home. We offer yurt hangings from Kyrgyzstan, kimonos and obis from Japan, supplemental weavings from Laos and Thailand, atlas from Xinjiang and Uzbekistan, and ikats from Indonesia, and silk scarves and pashmina shawls from China, Laos, and India.
