| This complete baby carrier was made by the Miao people in China, possibly in Hunan or Guizhou province. The embroidery of silken thread on silk cloth is extraordinary. Symbols include the peony and butterfly. There is also some geometric designs and the central piece is bordered on three sides with flowers. The baby carrier is complete with the wrapping straps, which are of black-dyed cotton or hemp. The embroidered area is 19" by 22". Excellent condition. | |
