Many of us have seen a Jane Wooster Scott art creation but may not have known the name of the artist behind the ubiquitous naive paintings we have seen. They are nostalgic recollections of simpler places and times which resonate deeply with many Americans of a certain age. Wooster Scott's paintings have hung in the White House, highly esteemed collections, and the homes of Hollywood's elite. In fact she is sometimes known as the artist to the stars.
This hand pulled serigraph represents some of Jane's earliest works as she started her artistic career in the 1970s. We value this one not only for its technique but its stage in her artistic development. This very limited edition of 400 would be a prize in many collectors portfolio.
