Sumptuously painted vase of ecru ground bearing a vine of morning glories and other leafy folliage. The opposite surface is sparsely painted but with the same motif. Ear lobed handles and flaring mouth all painted in gold add striking splendor to the visual impact of this exquisite vase. 12".
The underside is marked Mermoud & Jaccard Jewelery Co St Louis and Made In Austria. Structural condition is superb. A small amount of gilding on the handles has faded but it not evident due to the red underbase. For collector or decorative acquisition this vase brings vibrant delight to its setting and for its admirers. |
