Royal Dux figurines have earned a reputation for superb modeling and realism. This pair of a shepherd and shepherdess is no exception as you can see by the expressive looks and delicate facial features. The are carrying water jugs dressed in muted earth tone olive collors. They stand on seperate bases encircled with folliage. The bottoms are stamped with mold numbers 2264 and 2265 along with additional markings of 5 and 7 plus a manufacturing locale stamp and the famous pink triange with the E dating these to c. 1900-20. 10"
The couple show wear and minor soiling consistent with age but are in otherwise fine condition. The size of this pair is perfect for cabinet or mantle display and will provide your home with added elegance. |
