A delightful hand colored map of Urbino Italy dating from the 16th / 17th C. The map gives 3 views of the city in three panels with the dominant right panel providing an overview of the neatly laid city. The left two panels show closer perspectives with more detail.
Condition is quite good and very displayable but the two folios of the map have been seamed together (or so it would seem). Framed dimensions are 25" x 19 1/2". This beautiful antique map has huge decorative appeal in addition to its antique and cartographic interest. |
