DONATION Aesthetic Meriden Silver Plate WALNUT Nut Bowl
RARE AESTHETIC MERIDEN SILVER PLATE CO. WALNUT NUT BOWL, c.1880s. The bowl is in the shape of an open textured Walnut and rests on tree limbs for legs with detailed leaves and assorted walnuts. The design reflects the Victorian love of nature as well as similar designs depicted in Japanese bronzes. The branch curls up to form a handle with leaves attached. The plating is in excellent condition. Slight wear within the bowl. No dings or scratches visible. Exquisite detail. The makers mark on the bottom of the bowl has the number 01575. Dimensions: 13" Long X 7 1/2" Tall X 6 1/2" Wide.11113.not.eoi
