ELEGANT TAXCO SILVER BANGLE, INSET ONYX BANDS, BALLESTEROS? This is an elegant modern design that is timeless. It is a bangle bracelet with six diagonal onyx “bands” inset into the front half of the bangle. . Outstanding in its simple 1950's design of onyx set in a sterling hard bangle cuff, it is almost 3 inches from hinge to hinge and 2 ¾ inches in the opposite direction This is a substantial and very well made bracelet measuring about 7 1/4 inches interior wearable length. The bracelet is 1 1/4"W and weighs a solid 106.5 grams. The marks are small. From the top, the marks include 925, MM(?) and two numbers that I can’t read, (possibly a silversmith who worked for the Los Ballestoros workshop) then, forming a small circle Taxco on the top half and Mexico forming the bottom half. This bracelet reflects the style of Los Ballesteros, but it does not have the Ballesteros hallmark.
