This magnificent vase is superbly painted in a red-orange and blue enamel palette with foliate panels, with buildings that are interspersed with a floral motif around the trumpet neck are repeating lappets with triangular foliate panels with a young boy. The larger border around the foot is with a floral and scrolled blue leaf decoration with double blue lines. Meiji Period, 19th Century. Size: 15” high

The rectangular porcelain sake cask with to one corner and top centered by a small waited neck, painted blue enamel with loose brush strokes to give a subtle impression, with hills and building near the sea. Condition: the one side has a crease from a firing imperfection. Size: 3 7/8” high x 5.5” wide x 3.25” deep (9.8 x 14 x 8.3 cm) Provenance: acquired in Japan during 1958-1960. Age: Edo Period (18th Century)

The beautiful Japanese Kutani Porcelain Bowls with a red-gold fish motif in the interior and a medallion of a sea plant with undulating dragons around the exterior. On the footed base is the “good luck” Fuku symbol. They are all in excellent condition. The wood box with calligraphy inscriptions has a crack across the top. Age: 19th Century - Size: 9 1/2” diameter x 3” ht. – 8 ¼” dia. 3 ¼” ht. – 7 1/8” dia. X 2 ¾” ht. (24.13 – 20.9 – 18 cm)
