The Rose Medallion shrimp dish is finely painted in a rich enamel, pink, with accents in yellow and various shades of green and blue, with alternating panels of Mandarin figures and a floral motif. The wide border is with fruit, floral and butterflies design. Condition: a few chips of enamel are missing and two small chips on the border. Age: 1820-1850 - Size: 9-1/2” x 10” (24.13 x 25.4 cm) This bowl is unmarked which is an indication of its age. In the United States the McKinley Tariff Act was passed in 1890 and all Chinese Export porcelain had to be marked China until 1915 when it was marked made in China.
