The long, conical shaped, tapering body with prominent horizontal bands and lug handles. Late Period, 26th-30th DYNASTY, 688-343 B.C. 6 1/4 inches high. Two small chips on top. Mounted. Some photos illuminated. Purchased on the Paris art market. Said to be from an old French collection.

A plumb bob is a weight, with a pointed tip on the bottom, suspended from a string and used as a vertical direction as a reference point.
