An ancient Roman marble hand, with defined fingers and fingernails. Hand grasping, what appears to be remains of a dagger. With extensive remains of encrustations. 1st-3rd century AD. From a NYC private collection. Said to be purchased on the London art market in the late 1990s. 3 1/2 inches wide X 4 1/4 inches high. Mounted.

Ancient Egyptian blue faience scarab ensemble. Comprising of the beetle scarab in the center, flanked by the faïence wings. Late Period, 600-400 B.C. Scarab measures 2 inches long X 1 1/4-inch wide, left-wing measures 2 inches wide, right-wing measures 1 3/4 inches wide with small chip on tip. Scarab and wings not part of an original set. From an old French collection.

An Egypto-Roman figure of Harpocrates on horseback. Represented as a plump child, wearing the sidelock of hair and the double-crown of Egypt on his head and with his forefinger on his lips. Roman Period about A.D. 100. 5 5/8th inches high. From a New Jersey estate.

Ancient Egyptian Bronze Double-Ureas. Depicts two cobras, each with a broadened hood and shows the details of each of the snake’s body. 1 1/4 inches high. Possibly a decoration of a large bronze Osiris. Late Period, 25th-26th Dynasty, 745-525 B.C. Ex. RDA private collection, acquired in NY art market in the early 1980s.

Ancient Egyptian bronze figure of a seated deity. Possibly a provincial depiction of Harpocrates, depicted nude, wearing the Nemes headdress, fronted ureas, wearing the sidelock, seated, with arms stretched along each side and wearing a highly unusual crown. 4 3/8 inches high. With base of feet inserted into the modern base with an old collection label and inscription on the underside of the base. Appears to possibly be written in French...

A large ancient Greek pair statue. Appears to represent the nude Adonis, his right leg slightly bent on the knee, standing on a raised pedestal, gazing down on an enamoring Aphrodite, with hair pulled back into a bun, her right arm bent at the elbow, and her left hand, grasping her long, flowing drapery. With some wear to facial details and with extensive remains of encrustations. @ 3rd Century B.C. Intact as shown. 11 inches high...

An ancient Egyptian steatite scarab with the royal prenomen name Men-kheper-Re (Thutmosis III); including an adjective or descriptive phrase stating the good god + Amun (very schematic). 3/4 inch. 18th dynasty, 1479 BC to 1425 BC. From a Florida estate. Said to be purchased in the early 1980s.

Ancient Egyptian limestone head with thick wig and prominent facial details. With traces of original pigment. Possibly from the head on an ushabti. New Kingdom, 19th/20th Dynasty, 1292–1069 BC. 2 inches high. Mounted. Fragmentary. Ex. Oliva Tiano, Paris, said to be from an old French collection, collected in the 1960s - 1970s.

Faience ushabti for Horpenaset. Depicted mummiform, wearing a tripartite wig and beard. With pleasant, well defined, facial details, with arms crossed and hands emerging from tightly-fitted garment, hands holding hoes and seed sack behind the left shoulder. A T-shaped column of incised text at the front reads: "Illuminate the Osiris, Horpenaset, born of Asetshesen". 30th Dynasty, 365 -332 B.C. 4 3/8 inches high. Intact. Mounted. From an old New Jersey collection.

Colorful fragment from a sarcophagus. Depicting and facing left, Osiris and two of the four sons of Horus - the falcon headed god - Qebehsenuef and the jackal headed god, Duamutef. All wearing elaborate, cross-hatched, net-design garments. Hieroglyphic inscription and remains of feather design underneath. A very close parallel at the Brooklyn Museum, appears to date this cartonnage to probably the end of the 25th Dynasty, 712-664 B.C. 10 3/4 inches high X 6 1/4 inches wide. All original pigment...
