Bust of Isis Fortuna, wearing a Hellenistic robe, and has a combination of remains of cow horns, sun-disk, and ears of corn as a crown on her head. Probably used as a steelyard weight. 2nd/3rd Century. 2 3/8” high. Mounted. From a Connecticut private collection, acquired 1976 from the Jerusalem art market. Particularly during the Roman period, she was worshipped as a goddess who unites all other goddesses in herself.

Bust of the goddess with pleasant facial expression, wearing a chiton, her hair pulled back into a bun above the back of her neck and wearing her crown in the shape of a crescent moon. 1st/2nd Century. 2 1/4 inches high. Part of her crown reattached. Mounted. From a Connecticut collection, originally purchased in Israel in the 1970s. Diana was the goddess of the hunt, the moon, and nature being associated with wild animals, and having the power to talk to and control animals.
