Depicted striding, wearing the double crown, wearing a striated tripartite wig, arms alongside body, openwork between arms, and with a vertical line of hieroglyphic text. Late Period, 600-300 B.C. 3 1/4 inches high. Losses as shown, otherwise intact. From an old New Jersey private collection, acquired in the 1960s. Her name means "mother" and in many ways she was regarded by the Egyptians as the great "world mother," and mother of the pharaohs.
