| Drinking vessel from the ancient Greek colonies in southern Italy. With disc foot and twin convex handles. One side decorated with a maiden, seated on a rock, facing to her right, wearing a chiton, her right hand holding a mirror and her left hand holding a box. The other side decorated with a draped male figure. Palmettes painted underneath handles. 3rd/4th Century B.C. 7 1/4 inches high. Repaired. From an old New Jersey collection. | ||
