| Unusual standing wood figure of the goddess Hathor. Wearing a large thick wig, depicted with bovine ears and with the body in the shape of an Isis Girdle. New Kingdom, 19th/20th Dynasty, 1292-1070 B.C. Found in North Lisht and deaccessed from the Metropolitan Museum in the 1950s. Met Accession number:22.1.675. Hathor was the goddess of love, music, beauty, motherhood and joy. | ||
