Depicting an Ichneumon on top of the rectangular wood sarcophagus, Ptolemaic Period, 332-30 B.C. Base measures 6 inches long X 1 1/8 inches high. Extensive remains of gesso on base and traces of gilding on the body of figure. From a Connecticut collection. Originally deposited in a temple or shrine as an offering.
