An Egyptian bronze figure of Harpocrates, with well-defined facial details and pleasant expression, wearing incised nemes -headdress and sidelock. In a rare depiction, he is seated on top of a hollow cast lotus flower. Probably from a finial. Third Intermediate Period, 1069-656 B.C. 6 1/4 inches high. Right arm and crown gone. Ex. Belgian collection.
