This beautiful metal clock has been in the original family since the late 1800's and we are pleased to be offering it for sale for the first time ever. Made by F. Kroeber of New York, it was presented to a member of the faculty at Indiana University in 1881. It is decorated with a great aesthetic design incorporating birds, flowers and a dog chasing a deer and is engraved with the following: Left side: Presented to Bartlet Y. Armfield, November 13, 1881; Right side: by Indiana University and Monroe County. This great clock measures 16 1/4" wide x 13" tall x 5 1/4" deep. It works and chimes perfectly. It has a porcelain face with minor cracks and a beveled glass cover. Other then the very minor cracks in the face, it is in perfect condition.
