|Beautiful 19th century rosewood box containing bottles and measuring items for a doctor to put together his own remedies for patients. The beautifully grained rosewood box measures 10" tall x 12" wide x 6" deep. It has its original lock (with key) and recessed brass handles on the box, along with a bottom drawer that is locked by a brass pin that has to be removed in order to gain access to it. There is an ivory pull on the lid of the small inside box. The lock is marked "Secur 2 Levet". There are four bottles missing from the top, and one of the existing ones has a chip on its collar. The rest of the bottles are in remarkably good condition, with a couple of flea bites, but nothing really bad. There is one bottle missing from the bottom drawer, but jars and measuring items which are very hard to find are in perfect condition. This is a very rare item to find, and we are proud to be offering it,|
