This is a beautiful example of Simon and Halbig's 1159 lady. She has mint bisque, and her original lady body is 99% original finish. She is fully dressed, and her blouse, unders, corset and stockings are probably original to her. Her antique mohair wig may be original as well. Layaway is always an option. Please contact me to discuss terms. Here are her details:
Head: Her bisque head is perfect with no cracks, chips, or hairlines. She has very large brown sleep eyes, which work perfectly and retain the original eye lid wax. Her mouth is open with perfect teeth. My flash is reflecting off her eye plaster, but of course this is not seen on display. Her antique mohair wig may be original. It is curled into a roll around the back of her head. She is marked: 1159 / S&H / DEP / 7 / Germany. Examination: Other than a little indent around one of the holes behind her head, this head is without flaw – not even a speckle. The condition is mint with no signs of wear. This is a very fine bisque head.
Body: Her original lady body is unmarked. There is a dent on the torso and a blacklight reveals an excellent repair to two fingers. The remainder of the finish is entirely original and the body looks great.
Clothes: She is fully dressed in a charming costume. I believe that her blouse, half-slip, bloomers, corset and stockings are probably original to her. Her skirt is made of period fabric, and her tall black leather lace-up boots are age-unknown. She wears a wonderful antique wide-brimmed hat with a large pink feather. Everything fits perfectly and everything is in excellent aged condition.
