This is a LOVELY size 9 EJ Bebe, by Emile Jumeau. Her clothing is all-antique, including her four piece matching lace costume, fancy hat, stockings and leather boots. Her original Jumeau body is properly marked. She retains her original neck coil, and wears an old necklace. Layaway is always an option, but please contact me prior to purchase to discuss terms. Here are her details:

Head: She has amber paperweight eyes with dark threading. Her modeling is sharp and her painting is artistically rendered. She wears a long blond mohair wig that suits her very well. Her ears are applied, she has a cork pate, and retains her original coil neck attachment. She is marked Depose E 9 J, along with an artist’s mark. Examination: a wig pull on the outer rim edge and insignificant tiny nicks at the earring holes.

Body: Her original marked Jumeau body has attached hip balls and straight wrists. There is very minor touchup and the remainder is original finish with normal wear.

Clothes: She wears a marvelous antique costume consisting of four matching pieces. She wears a long lacey under-dress that closes with a hook and eye. Over this, she wears a blouse that buttons in back and ties at the waist. Underneath, she wears a matching half-slip and bloomers. Everything is in very good aged condition, although sheer and delicate. She also wears lacy-knit antique stockings and nice antique black leather side-button boots with heels. Finally, we come to her outstanding antique hat. It is based on an elaborate straw weave, with dusky-green velvet gathered around the brim with fancy black curly decorations.

Jewelry: She wears a charming old necklace with green-speckled stones. Small stones are set into the chain around her neck, centering on a larger stone with tiny dangles. Her earrings were probably made to closely match the necklace.
