Here is a pretty Kestner 171 with a nice marked original body. She is wearing an antique wig, antique dress and antique unders. She has very fine bisque with a teensy surface flake under one eye, so I am able to offer her at a great price. Here are the details:
Head: She has a beautiful bisque head with blue sleep eyes that work perfectly and retain all their eye lid wax. She wears an antique light brown curly mohair wig, which has been cut short. She is marked in script, Made in / K Germany 12 / 171. Examination: There is a teensy surface flake in the lower lashes of her left eye - easily seen in the extreme close-up but not noticeable on display. Otherwise, the bisque is mint and flawless with no factory imperfections and no signs of wear.
Body: Her original Kestner body is marked Excelsior 4 on the rear hip. A blacklight reveals slight over-paint around the neck socket and around one knee joint. The remainder of the paint is in fine original finish.
Clothes: She is wearing an antique dress with a dropped waist. It is dark blue cotton with a tiny light blue print. It buttons in back with hand-made button-holes. The dress has some tiny holes and some fading of the print on the front. Underneath, she wears an antique camisole and antique half-slip. She has long tan stockings (a little discolored) and newer tan tie shoes.
