This gorgeous doll has been in my collection longer than any other and I am finally ready to share her. She is wearing 5 layers of antique/original clothing, and her wig and shoes are likely original as well. Her fabulous original body is the desirable early-style 8-ball body. She is marked simply 192/5. I believe these heads were produced by Kestner for Kammer and Reinhardt, prior to the period when S&H began to supply their heads. She is circa late 1880's. Layaway is always an option, but please contact me prior to purchase to discuss terms. Here are the details of this wonderful doll:

Head: Her bisque head has no hairlines or repairs. She has the sharpest modeling of features and perfect painting. She has accented lips and thickly feathered flat brows (not molded). Her spiraled blue sleep eyes work perfectly and retain all the original eyelid wax. Her mouth is open with upper teeth. She retains her original blond mohair wig in Rembrandt style. It is a little shorter in back, otherwise excellent condition. She is marked 192 along with her size number - 5. Examination: Her right inner eye rim is very slightly uneven - it is possibly a teensy flake, or it is factory as there is no white bisque showing. Either way, it is insignificant and does not show on display.

Body: Her original body is a wonderful early fully-jointed body with 8 loose ball joints, straight wrists, and saggy butt. The overall condition is excellent with just a little touchup on the back of one upper arm and a tiny spot on one lower arm. This is a really nice and desirable early German body.

Clothes: She is wearing 5 layers of fine antique clothing that are likely original. This includes: Dress, matching bonnet, matching full slip, matching bloomers, a second full slip, a long half-slip, silk stockings and heeled leather shoes. The matching pieces share the same lace trim and/or the same narrow rows of tucks. The bonnet has grosgrain ribbon ties that match the wider grosgrain ribbon with rosettes used as a sash on her dress. Everything fits perfectly. Her shoes are very worn and all else is in excellent aged condition. She is a real treasure!
