OVERVIEW: This is a gorgeous example of Simon and Halbig 939, with an open mouth and big square teeth. She has a perfect bisque head, her original Sonneberg style body, nice antique clothes, a cork pate and a great antique wig! Layaway is always an option but please contact me prior to purchase to discuss terms. Here are the details:
HEAD: Her bisque head is perfect with no damage or repairs. She has an open mouth with two big square upper teeth and one square lower tooth. She has large brown threaded sleep eyes. Her painting is lovely. Her lashes are noticeably thicker near the eye rim, then taper off to a fine point. Her lips are outlined with darker accents. She has pierced ears and very nice earrings. Her antique human hair wig is outstanding - extremely long and thick. It is probably original and she has a cork pate. She is marked S9H / 939. Examination: just a few inconspicuous light speckles - very nice!
BODY: Her original composition and wood body is in the Sonneberg style. There is some paint wear on the wooden pieces. A blacklight examination revealed repaint to one hand and touchup around the knee joints.
CLOTHES: She wears nice antique clothing. She has a fine dress of the period, in dark green linen-like fabric with silk trimmed edging. It has matching fabric ruffles at the hem and sleeves edges and buttons down the back. Underneath, she wears an organdy slip and cotton bloomers (modified for a better fit)). She also has over-the-knee cream-colored stockings and black leather side button boots (one button missing).
