OVERVIEW: This is a seldom found mold by Simon and Halbig - 1109. Her bisque is in mint condition, exactly as it came from the factory with no signs of wear. Her composition body is sturdy and sound with minimal wear. She is wearing lovely antique dress, unders and shoes. Layaway is always an option, but please contact me prior to purchase to discuss terms. Here are the details:
HEAD: Her bisque head has no damage or repairs. She has blue sleep eyes that work perfectly and retain all of the eye lid wax. Her mouth is open with upper teeth. She is marked SH 1109 / Germany / DEP / 6. She has a dark blond mohair wig. Factory Imperfections: There is an insignificant red surface line above one ear. It does not penetrate into the bisque at all. Signs of Wear: None.
BODY: Her fully jointed composition body shows minimal wear. Close examination reveals that two fingers have been very neatly repaired, otherwise, this body is really in outstanding original finish.
CLOTHES: She is fully dressed in nice antique clothing that could be original to her. I have another S&H doll in residence with a dress of the exact same fabric. Her antique dress is dotted pink cotton (faded). It was sewn-on, but now pins shut. It has a blousoned bodice and full skirt. Underneath, she wears her chemise (cut short), as well as a nice antique half-slip and pantaloons with triple tucks and lace insertion and trim. She has black wool stockings and antique black oilcloth tie shoes. Finally, she wears a charming old bonnet with ribbon trim, age unknown.
