Original Japanese woodblock print Ando Hiroshige (1797-1858), titled “Twilight at Numazu”, from the series Fifty-Three Stations of the Tokaido Road (also known as the Hoeiko Tokaido), 1833. Numazu is the 12th rest station along the Tokaido Road – the main route between Ninhonbashi in Tokyo and Sanjob Bashi in Kyoto
The image measures approximately 9 x 13 3/4 inches. The print is trimmed into image, and it has a centerfold, minor rubbing and soiling in the image and the on reverse, and a small loss in the paper at the center top margin. Don’t let this detailed condition report scare you off – a zoom image is linked to the enlargement.
