Original Japanese woodblock print by Ryosuke Ishii (1882-1958), titled “Mt. Aso, Kumamoto”, 1940. This design is number 25 in the series One Hundred Views of New Japan, which was self-published by members of the Nihon Hanga Association. The image measures approximately 8 7/8 by 11 5/8 inches, plus full margins. It is tipped onto its original presentation folder with artist, print and publisher information.
