Keisuke Serizawa Stencil

Original Japanese print by Keisuke Serizawa (1895-1984), titled depicting a village scene. Serizawa is the recognized master of Japanese stencil prints; a medium also used by Sadao Watanabe and Yoshitoshi Mori. His works are prized by both woodblock print collectors and fans of mingei (folk art). This print comes with a separate ceriticate that translates as follows:

Artist: Serizawa Keisuke
Stencil: Stenciled by Kogawa
Certified: Serizawa Chosuke
(followed by a a red seal)

This print is in very good condition. There is some minor creasing in the bottom margin and a few spots of foxing . The image measures approximately 9 by 15 inches, plus full margins.
