Original Japanese woodblock print by Taiso Yoshitoshi (1839-1892) titled Suitable: The Appearance of a Geisha of the Licensed Quarters in the Koka Era, from the series, Thirty-two Aspects of Daily Life, 1888. This is a first edition printing, with a three color title cartouche. It is illustrated at plate 14 of “Yoshitoshi's Women: The Woodblock-Print Series Fuzoku sanjuniso”, 1995 by John Stevenson.

This print is in very good condition, with no condition issues to note, aside from some faint toning at the left margin. The image measures 14 1/8 by 9 5/8 inches, plus margins.
