An extraordinary tetsubin of globular form with an armor-like, spike design executed in pure Japanese silver, its handle finely wrapped and stitched with bamboo strands. The base bears the engraved Jungin (Pure Silver) seal and artist's signature, Keisho-sai. Includes tomobako, reading "Tsuyu uchi yuto (spike tea pot style), Keisho-sai tsukuri (made by Keisho)". This wonderful tetsubin is in very good condition, its natural wear on the base commensurate with age and use. Height: 9", width: 7" Meiji Period, Japan
