A small yet ingeniously sculpted silver bowl on pedestal base. Its body is formed by moriage iris petals that curl at the ends, their centers stippled, all on a partly-hammered ground. This unique iris bowl is the work of the famous Kuhn & Komor studio, renowned silversmiths with studios in Yokohama and Hong Kong. Known for innovative designs, their trademark can be found on the base. The silver bowl is in very good condition with only minor wear along the inner rim commensurate with age. Diameter: 5.75”, height: 3.25” Meiji Period, Japan
