| A wonderful ivory netsuke carved as Okame, goddess of mirth, decked out in finely patterned robes and wearing a large woven hat. Unbeknownst to Okame, a mischievous oni is perched on top of her hat and playfully hides from view. Incised signature reads Mitsuo. Netsuke is in excellent condition with no loss or damage. Height: 2.5” Late Meiji Period, Japan | |||||||
