|A large sentoku presentation tsuba realistically sculpted as a farmer delighted with the red-combed cockerel clasped in his arms. The piece, enameled with colors and carved and etched, conveys the excitement of the moment; eyes, double-inlaid with silver and shakudo, detailing in copper. Incised signature, Masayoshi, on reverse. This fabulous tsuba is in excellent condition. Provenance: Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Sardi. Meiji Period, Japan|
