Here is a brilliant studio porcelain vase of baluster form with flared neck, a flowering sakura tree rising from an asymmetrical, deep-blue enameled swash from its base. On its cobalt-hued branches and overlapping the rich glaze, delicate mauve sakura blossoms flower, the result, a glorious painting on porcelain. This vase is a signed work by the illustrious Makuzu Kozan, its underglaze blue signature found on its base. Includes owner's box. The vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration.
