A three-case black-lacquered inro with a geisha serving two men sake and sweets under a spreading sakura tree, mountains rising in the background. On the reverse, a hunter regards a deer scrambling through the woods. This lovely inro with colored lacquers and amber ojime is in excellent condition with only a minor rubbing to the top side of the first compartment. Signed on base in gold lacquer, Kajitoshi saku. Early Edo Period, Japan.
