An ovoid-shaped, bronze vase embellished with precious metals and alloys in kaga inlay and takazogan. In the foreground, a single sailboat approaches the coast, gnarled pine trees nearby in shakudo, copper and gold. Iconic Mt. Fuji rises above the lake scene, mountain ridge and distant sailing vessels below, in silver and shakudo. Silver signature plaque on base reads Jomi Eisuke, a celebrated Meiji-metallurgist recognized for his works in bronze, copper and mixed-metals. This superb mixed-metal vase is in excellent condition with no problems and no restoration. Height: 8.5" Meiji Period, Japan
