A boxwood amusing netsuke of a seated boy with legs neatly folded. Playing bekkanko, a suggestive game, the boy pulls down one eye, while hiding an oni mask behind his back. Crisp details and fine modeling characterize this netsuke by Sangyoku whose signature plaque is on the bottom of the piece. Height: 1.25” Edo Period, 19th Century, Japan
