A round iron tsuba with beaded rim in the Namban style. Two dragons overlaid in gold nunome zogan rest among reticulated tendrils, a gilt tama between them. The seppa area is finely carved with overlapping waves. ( For a similar piece see: “The Peabody Museum Collection of Japanese Sword Guards” by John D. Hamilton, Salem, MA 1975, page XXVII, #6.)
