A fine nashiji-ground, three-case inro with two round medallions, front and reverse, illustrating six of the one hundred poets in gold, silver and red –colored lacquers on a gold-sprinkled ground. Attached to the inro an adjustable purple silk string bears an amber ojime. This superb gold-lacquered inro is in excellent condition with only minimal wear to the silver lacquer, commensurate with age and use. Length: 2.75” , width: 3” Edo Period, Japan
