A studio porcelain censer of trefoil form, its body comprised of lobes which descend to form the feet. A diamond -patterned design decorates the neckline, while branches with clusters of hydrangea and leaves stretch across the body in graduating tones of under glaze blue and white enamels. Featured in Mrs. Nancy Schiffer's Japanese Porcelain 1800-1950, Schiffer Publishing Ltd. 1999, page 35. Miyagawa "Makuzu" Kozan underglaze blue signature seal on base. This Makuzu piece is the perfect addition to any porcelain collection; it is in excellent condition with no damage or restoration. Height: 4.5", diameter: 5.75" Circa 1900, Japan
