A fine silver tray of round form decorated both in moriage (high relief) and uchidachi (chasing) techniques. Beautifully-rendered cherry blossoms and foliage are spread upon its partly-hammered ground. This attractive silver tray bears the signature of premier silver smiths, Samurai Shokai, the tray’s silver count inscribed with the high silver count of 1,000 on the reverse. Overall in very good condition with slight separation to the rim, barely perceptible. Diameter: 11” Meiji Period, Japan
