A pair of cloisonné vases of baluster-form executed in both wired and wireless techniques. Portrayed on a grey-blue enameled ground, a fishing boats glide serenely on placid waters. Maple trees line the perimeter, while snow-capped Mt. Fuji reigns in the background. This classic scene in Japanese art here is enhanced by the delicate wired and wireless cloisonné techniques. The result is a seamless and evocative image. This lovely pair of cloisonné vases is in very good condition with only minor wear on the bases, commensurate with age. Includes wooden stands and individual silk-padded storage boxes. Heights: 7.25”. Meiji /Taisho Period, Japan
