Two elegant porcelain vases of cylindrical form, each one with variations of the fascinating and unique tea-dust glaze used by the Chinese centuries ago. Known for his own inventive glazing methods and use of color during the late 19th Century, Imperial Court artist Makuzu Kozan created his tea- dust glazes on these vases reminiscent of those highly desirable ones found on rare Chinese artworks of past centuries. The various tones of mauve on these beautiful pieces blend seamlessly. Makuzu Kozan characteristic cobalt signature can be found on the base. These porcelain vases are in excellent condition. Height: 6” Meiji Period, Japan
